Come along to Drawing Club – a relaxed, playful space where curiosity matters more than getting it “right”. Whether you've never picked up a pencil before, enjoy drawing from time to time or make art every day, everyone is welcome.
Inspired by stages, scenery and layered paper worlds, we'll spend an hour exploring playful ways to build images, invent scenes and let our imaginations lead the way. There's no pressure to create anything polished, and no experience is needed. If drawing feels daunting, collage materials will be available, so everyone can join in in a way that feels comfortable.

Booking in advance is strongly advised as workshops are popular and we have a capacity limit for the session. There will be a very limited numbers of tickets on the door, which are first-come-first-served. Please note that we do not operate a waiting list.

No parking at the venue.
Step-free entrance to the Old Fire Station: 40 George Street (via the foyer).
Accessible toilet on the ground floor, accessible via platform lift. Other toilets are in the basement (accessible via lift).
Assistance dogs - All types of assistance dogs are welcome at the Old Fire Station.
Seating - Their chairs are a standard dining-chair size, measuring 40cm deep by 37cm wide, with a wooden frame. Some have arms, and some do not. Each attendee can sit at a table during the workshop.
Lighting - Warm and mellow lighting.
Noise levels - There will be music playing and there is often lots of chat across the table, which will likely be the same noise levels as a busy cafe.
Group size - Capacity of the venue if sold-out will be 40 people, however it usually averages about 20-25 people attending.
